The International Journalists Insurance Fund is a project founded by the Association of Independent Regional Publishers of Ukraine together with five NGO: Suspilnist Foundation, Institute of Mass Information, Detector.media, Centre for Democracy and Rule of Law and Regional Press Development Institute.
Who can apply for insurance: journalists of independent Ukrainian media who plan to go on official business trips to war zones, occupied territories, and/or liberated territories (within 1 month after liberation), have protective equipment and have completed specialized pre-medical assistance courses can obtain insurance.
The Fund will be able to insure one journalist for a period of one to three days.

Insurance coverage — up to USD 100,000 for medical expenses. In case of the death of a journalist, the family receives USD 100,000.

Please note that the application must be submitted no later than 36 hours before the business trip.
