“Eighty difficult, emotional, inspiring stories from our journalists, each of which is important, useful, fixing. They are about how we live everyday life, how we give birth, how we lose. How we search and find. And sometimes – don’t find. War is something that we have to record. Even with texts about incredible volunteers restoring wooden lace in Chernihiv or about the singer of amazing singing from Polissia. As well as scary stories about the work of a funeral firm in the occupied territory or articles about the work of doctors under the occupation”, – Oksana Brovko, executive director of AIRPU.
During October-November 2022 we have already supported 20 female journalists with personal grants of 2,500 euros each for the production of 4 materials on socially important topics that are not mainstream, but are nevertheless socially important for Ukrainians.
Due to security reasons, some of the journalists wrote their articles under pseudonyms.

The project is organized by AIRPU together with WAN-IFRA.
